Fundamentally, we are all here during limited time on earth to serve others. It was such an honor to be served Diwali sweets by the next mayor of our great city. It was a brilliant and sustainable move to use the leftover sweets at the end of Diwali by Maharaja Sweets to reduce food waste. The joy was palpable. Zohran was next to his mother, the famous movie director Mira Nair - whose movie Mississippi Masala, Monsoon Wedding and Namesake. Also met Kal Penn, who stars in Namesake and is famous for Harold and Kumar Goes to White Castle, House MD and Communications director of the Obama White House. What a memorable Diwali 2025 during the weekend of his birthday as well. A memory to cherish.

Update: 11/5/25: Loved his victory speech (full video below) where he gave a shoutout to Mama, Baba and Rama (his wife).
I also realized that the song at the end of his victory speech has the lyrics “our time is now” from the Bollywood Movie Song "Dhoom". His election team is disciplined and unapologetically intentional. He has communicated his intention to surround himself with experts to deliver on his agenda. We have to hold him accountable for the outcomes at the end of the day but he seems to have the right attitudes in my personal opinon.
