Eid-Al-Fitr Explained

Eid-Al-Fitr as celebrated by almost 2 billion Muslims around the world. This is the first of the only two big celebrations for Muslims. Eid literally translates to "Feast" or "Festival". Here is a more nuanced detailed explanation of the beauty of Eid. Personally, my favorite part is the empathy and focus on reflections especially for those who don't have what we have. It makes us more disciplined and caring for the needs of others (which is one of the main reasons why we don't eat or drink from sunrise to sunset during the Month of Ramadan). Eid-Al-Fitr celebrates the end of this fasting month of Ramadan. Eid Mubarak!

Here is a lovely video to explain the feast of Eid to younger kids

Lastly, a beautiful song that I grew up with back in Bangladesh celebrating Eid after moon sighting.
