Why I love my Shelfy device to reduce food waste

Food Waste is a major contributor to climate change thorough methane emissions. As someone who loves tinkering with the latest tech products, I have been fairly happy with the Shelfy device that claims to help food in the fridge last longer. Their Vitesy Hub app reminds me to be more mindful of food wastage and turn my dumb fridge into a smart one. The device is sustainable, as it does not involve a monthly subscription cost and helps me keep track of the temperature inside the fridge and how often I am leaving the door open. The battery lasts for almost a month and I can just recharge via USB-C as well as clean the filter by just rinsing it out with water. The App feels modern and does a great job of reminding me to clean my fridge and challenges me to pay attention to food waste and how to keep things last longer. I wish it gave me more actionable notifications based on the data it collects or perhaps connect more seamlessly to my SMART home ecosystems (whether Google or Amazon). If you had a chance to try one as well, let me know how you like your device.
