Picnik is closing this April 2012. Premium features now free.

Definitely saw this coming. You have till the end of April to backup your picnik photos. As usual, google with give away all of the premium tools within Picnik for free. They are also refunding all of the membership fees that you might have paid already.

For the future, I think the web based app needs better integration with the Picasa software. Wish Google with put some new effects within the offline Picasa app.
