Chrome OS netbooks available from June 15th.

Google Chrome OS will be ready for purchase June 15th. At the end of the day, if all I am getting is a Chrome browser, doesn't my MacBook Air take care of that need? On top of being the lightest laptop EVER, turning on instantly and letting me run Windows if I ever need to. The price tag on these Chrome notebooks seems too steep. The only aspect of the concept that seems promising is the rental option but even then considering how slow internet can get at schools, I personally cannot completely trust cloud computing. Maybe in a decade when the network infrastructure improves immensely.
