How to extend your battery life on iOS 7

Not only am I trying out the software tips, but I plan to add an extended battery to make my phone last as long as possible on a single charge. This includes a solar power charger keychain as well as the extended batteries. Will post updates on improvement in battery life once I receive the items.

As a rule of thumb, Airplane mode makes your phone last a long time by putting it into "hibernating" mode.
