America needs to take Education more seriously!

I do agree with Nicholas Kristof that Education is a top priority for immigrant parents especially in inner city schools. This was evident by the Parent-Teacher conference night. While there are socio-economic and other factors involved, we do have to try our utmost to educate the parents as well as their children. I will begin a monthly parental workshop session at my school to train parents how to use emails and be more technologically education. This is an exciting time to be part of Education 2.0

I also feel that you are judged by your associates and therefore try to "Follow" folks who I think are interesting, experienced and excel at their field of expertise. Nicholas Kristof of the NY Times is one of those.

Technology empowers true democracy. I love how he engages his audiences and learns from them by really harnessing the power of social media. Someday, I wish to have the kind of impact that he is having to improve our world.
